Privacy Policy

Your farm data is your data. This policy explains in plain language what CropGuard collects, why we collect it, and the control you keep over it.
1. What we collect
We collect the information you provide when you create an account (name, email, farm type, optional farm size and location) and the crop photos you upload for scanning. We also collect basic usage data to improve the product, such as scan counts and app performance metrics.
2. How we use your data
Your crop photos are used to produce disease diagnoses, treatment recommendations, and weather risk alerts. We use aggregate, de-identified data to improve our AI models and to report product impact. We never sell your personal or farm data.
3. Data storage & security
Images are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256) in secure cloud infrastructure (AWS). Access is limited to staff who need it to operate the service. We follow industry-standard practices to protect your data and continuously monitor our systems.
4. Data sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing. We may share de-identified data with research partners to advance food-security research, and we may share data with service providers who help us operate (e.g., cloud hosting) under strict confidentiality agreements.
5. Data retention & deletion
You can export or permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard, or by emailing support@cropguard.ai. Deleted data is removed from active storage within 30 days.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to withdraw consent. Contact us at privacy@cropguard.ai and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Children's privacy
CropGuard is intended for farmers and agribusinesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
